Freshman Packing List: The Obvious & Not So Obvious

This summer I went to a three week camp for a program that I'm in at my university and began to get an idea of everything I needed to bring when the year started. I hope this list helps someone who was as lost as I was when it came to packing!
What NOT to bring:
-trashcan (most likely already provided)
-extension cord (evidently they're not allowed)
-extra sheets (they just take up extra room; just wash your sheets and put them back on your bed)
-a whole bunch of books (you don't have room for that)
